WSIB, SHORT and LONG TERM DISABILITY CLAIMS
Many claims are warranted and require no further attention. However, there are a number of red flags that point to suspicious claims or unwarranted absences due to malingering or exaggeration of the extent of the injury or disability. Our Red Flag card will be provided, and should be referred to from time to time.
We often handle WSIB investigations assigned to us by Employers. Frequently the WSIB does not investigate claims unless evidence of malingering is presented to them by the employer, preferably in the form of a surveillance investigation with video documenting the suitability of the claimant for work.
